  The sounds of the newly reformed band of 444 (Shoreditch) Squadron Air Training Corps could be heard in Whitehall on Saturday as they had the honour of leading the St Georges Day Parade through the streets of Central London.

241 Wanstead and Woodford Squadron Air Training Corps has adopted Haven House Children’s Hospice as their Charity in 2007. Haven House provides short term respite care and end of life care, for children aged 0-19 years with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.
 
Jan 08 - DEA Service with Essex County Fire and Rescue Service
As part of their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, 14 cadets from 2324 (Chigwell) Squadron were given the chance to experience the first county unique 12-week course with Essex County Fire and Rescue Service at Loughton Fire Station. The course enabled the youngsters to complete the 'service' section of the prestigious award.

Dec 07 - Christmas concert in aid of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund
1475 (DULWICH) SQUADRON ATC staged their fourth and now famous Christmas concert in aid of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund at the Central Church of the Royal Air Force, St Clement Danes in London on Thursday evening 13th December 2007 featuring the full chorus of the internationally renowned London Welsh Male Voice Choir with international soloist Ann-Louise Straker, soprano.
 
Dec 07 - 6F (Romford) Squadron visits Parliament
Cadets and staff of 6F (Romford) Squadron ATC visited Parliament this week with local MP for Romford and Honorary President of the Squadron, Andrew Rosindell.

After the success of the first weekend at Blackland Farm in January, 1921 (Lewisham) Squadron returned to spend their Christmas camp trying a range of exciting adventure training activities.

Dec 07 - London Air Cadets send some Christmas Cheer to our Troops
Top Air Cadet, Cadet Warrant Officer Kristina Pisano, who at 19 is the senior Cadet NCO of 241 (Wanstead & Woodford) Squadron and is responsible for 150 cadets on the Squadron. Moved by the plight of the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan she organised the sending of festive parcels from each of the Sqns 5 Flights.

Dec 07 - A Starting Point for Staff
Training the next generation of cadets needs a good staff team to lead them forward. As a result, London Wing has invested time in helping candidates for uniformed roles prepare to take on their roles as leaders in the Air Cadet Organisation. One of the major success stories has been the creation of the Staff Development Course. Launched in late 2005, the course provides insight in to what is involved as a member of staff and how to approach the challenge of training cadets in Squadrons across London.
 
Nov 07 - The Lord Mayors Show… The Commandant steps out!
In previous years, the Air Cadets have consistently paraded the largest cadet contingent on the occasion of the Lord Mayors Show. The 2007 procession set a new standard with the Air Cadets parading the largest military contingent - a strength of over 160 cadets, staff and one special guest; Commandant Air Cadets, Air Commodore Gordon Moulds.

Four Cadets from 241 (Wanstead & Woodford) Squadron recently completed a week long Gliding Scholarship Courses at Wethersfield Airfield in rural Essex.

JUN 07 - DULWICH AIR CADETS AT MANSION HOUSE
The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of the City of London; Alderman John Stuttard, hosted the officers and cadets of 1475 (Dulwich) Squadron, Air Training Corps, at a reception on Friday evening 22 June 2007. The reception was held at his residence, the Manson House in the heart of the financial capital of the world.

Three 5-a-side football teams from London Wing have come back champions in a recent London & South East Region inter-wing competition. The competition was held on Sunday 15th April at "Goals" in Heathrow between the six Wings in the Region.

On Wednesday 18th April 2007, eight lucky London Wing cadets returned from RAF Akrotiri after spending two weeks away as part of an Air Cadets Overseas Camp.

Every year, the search is on to undercover the top male and female Air Cadets from within the Air Training Corps. Its not unusual that these cadets standout as top achievers and make selection easy. It is however, a little unusual to find them at the same squadron, in the same year! This is no mean feat with a Wing of 32 Squadrons and over 1000 cadets.

Air Chief Marshall Sir Glenn Torpy, the New Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), visited London Wing during the course of an action packed weekend to witness cadets taking part in the annual Inness Sword Competition at Crowborough Training camp in Sussex.
 
Sept 06 - SOARING SUCCESS
Four cadets – Danny Dixon (17), Ross Lakhrif (16), Jennifer Nixon (16) and Charlotte Partington (16) – from 1921 (Lewisham) Squadron have taken to the skies over the summer, as they completed Gliding Scholarships at local airfields. Each of the cadets was taken through an intensive period of theoretical and practical training, with plenty of time spent at the controls of a state of the art modern glider.
 
Sept 06 - FIELD DAY TRIUMPH
Squadrons from around the WIng came together at Woolwich Garrison for the annual field day in late September to compete in a variety of competitions including drill, first aid, aircraft recognition, photography and aero modelling.

From Essex to Equador
Seventeen cadets and staff from 241 (Wanstead & Woodford) Squadron Air Cadets, recently returned from a three-week trip of a lifetime to Ecuador, South America. The main objective of the expedition was to climb the highest active volcano in the world, Cotopaxi, at nearly 6,000 metres high. In addition the group would spend a week exploring the Amazon jungle and work with the homeless kids who live on the streets of Quito, the capital city.
 
London Wing celebrates a double on VE Day
As the nation celebrated the 60th anniversary of VE day, London Wing added to the occasion with an official handover of the Wing from Wing Commander George Taylor to Wing Commander Sylvia Silver at the London Wing Athletics Competition.
 
Its a Busmans Camp for Overseas Squadrons!
This Years Easter Camp was held in ATA Haltern Germany, 4(OS)Sqn and 4(OS)Sqn DF invited No8(OS) Squadron to join the Camp, a total of 32 Cadets and 10 Members of Staff and two wonderful Àrmy Air Corps Chef's. WO Heppner's Bunny Hunt, on Easter Sunday was fun for all Cadets and Staff.
