Ready for a challenge?
Welcome to London Wing of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, we provide adventure… it’s that simple, or is it …
If flying in Royal Air Force Aircraft sounds interesting, what about flying Solo in a glider? all before you can legally drive a car!
Its not all about flying though, the Royal Air Force Air Cadets is packed with incredible adventure; fancy hurtling over an Obstacle Course? How about undertaking an expedition in the mountains as part of your Duke of Edinburgh Award? still not enough?
The possibilities are endless, from target shooting to sports, from the Falklands to South Africa, we offer a range of activities to suit all with a desire to further themselves within an inclusive uniformed youth organisation. However you don’t get all the goodies without some work, we provide solid ground training in aviation related subjects which can reward cadets with up to three BTEC qualifications* – an amazing 10 GCSE equivalents!
We don’t like to boast but …
As one of 36 Royal Air Force Air Cadet Wings in the UK, we are the second largest. We have 28 Squadrons throughout the London Metropolitan Area, and 2 overseas Squadrons in Germany, comprising over 1,400 cadets (aged between 13 and 20) who are supported by 500 adults who run the Squadrons on a voluntary basis.
